AboutTime Portal Studios was started by Andy Anderson. His goal is to provide locations of historic importance an opportunity to stand out from the crowd by recreating full 3d worlds of what are now ruins into what they once were so that people can walk around the 3d world and explore it for themselves.
For example his work on Dunluce Castle which is still ongoing was intended to show the public what a majestic place it was when it was lived in and before it fell into ruin so that people could see for themselves how it really looked and so they could appreciate what a magnificent place it really was at its peak in the 1600's including the village which once surrounded it. Education Andy studied a Btec National Diploma in Games Development at the Causeway Institute. He was awarded with the highest achievement of a Triple Distinction. The course comprised of 18 units, some of which were, 3D Modelling, 3D Environments, 3D Animation, Games Engines, Digital Graphics, Sound for Games and Production Management Andy went on to study a BA Degree in Computer Games Art at Teesside University which is one of the top universities in the world for 3D. Teesside University won the University of the Year award the same year that Andy graduated. His hard work and determined mindset paid off and he was awarded his Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Games Art with First Class Honours. This degree comprised of 18 units, some of which were, Environment Modelling For Games, Character Modelling For Games, Drawing And Composition, Digital Imaging And Texturing For Games, Animation For Games, 3D Effects For Games, and Games Level Design. Professional Even before Andy graduated he was snapped up by Amazing Interactives to work as a 3D Artist where he worked on several projects in 2010 and 2011.
